WHAT you EXPECT FROM us

Missionary Care

It is JFA’s goal to be a support for our missionaries overseas. While our financial support is limited primarily to donations that have been fundraised for by the missionaries themselves, we also endeavor to provide other means of support and empowerment. We want to support you in an way we can. These include, but are not limited to:

Prayer

Every day the JFA office joins together to pray for our workers and projects. If you have any special requests, let us know, and we will add them to our prayer time.

Cultural Education Materials

While you can also find these on your own, JFA continues to expand a library of resources to help you navigate your new cross-cultural life.

Educational Materials on World Religions

Similar to and sometimes combined with the cultural materials, JFA has access to books, videos, workshops, and training programs for understanding different world religions.

Listening

We want to hear your stories and your hardships; this helps us know how to pray and also helps us find more ways that we can support our missionaries.

Procedural

JFA Financial Information

100% of donations made to JFA go directly to the project(s) specified. Nothing is deducted for “administrative overhead” or paying for our office and salaries here at the Tennessee office, which exists on a portion of the donations to “Where Needed Most” (although a majority of these donations also go into projects that are underfunded but have a high strategic impact in God’s work).

Jesus for Asia, Inc., is a 501(c)3 non-profit charitable organization, which makes donations given from within the United States tax-deductible.

Jesus for Asia is a member of ASI (Adventist-Laymen’s Services and Industries) since 2005.

JFA Bank Accounts

If JFA Administration deems it necessary, you will be asked to complete paperwork and provide identification to open a JFA Bank Account with Collegedale Credit Union. This is a business, not personal, bank account, and will be used to hold your project funds. It should not be thought of, or used as, a personal account, since these are not personal funds.

You will be signatory on this account, which means you will have a debit card in your name. Your debit card is not to be given to any other person to use for any reason without prior arrangements with the Accounting Department and approval of the Treasurer.

The debit card will be opened for your country of service. If you travel, you must notify the Accounting Department with a copy of your full itinerary so they can request that your card be opened for any country you may travel through and for your destination country. Also, if you are trying to make a purchase and the entity you are purchasing from is not in your country of service, please notify the Accounting Department so we can open the entity’s country so the purchase will go through.

You will have access to online banking for your account, so you can see transactions and contact the bank directly with any need that may arise. However, do not click on eStatements. Otherwise Accounting will not receive the monthly statement for the account.

If anyone deposits money directly into your JFA Account, you must notify the Accounting Department immediately. For obvious reasons, donation receipts cannot be given for unknown donations.

If it is determined that having an account with the Collegedale Credit Union is not a good option, you will open a bank account in your country near where you are serving and share the account information with Accounting. Accounting will wire your monthly donations to that account.

The Jesus for Asia Now Show

The Jesus for Asia Now show is an interview style video-recorded show. This half-hour show airs on both MissionTV and 3ABN, and is stored on YouTube as well. You may be invited to be on the Jesus for Asia Now show when you are in Tennessee. This show can be easily shared with others and are one way that we support our missionaries and grow awareness about their work. They are also a means through which some fundraising can be accomplished.

Foreign Correspondents/Promotional Videos

We have two couples working as foreign correspondents in Asia. They travel and produce videos about our missionaries and their projects. These videos can be used for promotional purposes. They can be shared in newsletters, on social media, sent to churches, or shared during a presentation or speaking engagement. There will be times, especially when changes, progress, blessings, or miracle events happen in a project or missionary experience, that they will be available to film your work and interview you.

FaithCamp

We have multiple FaithCamps throughout the year in various states in the US. (As God leads, we will conduct FaithCamps overseas, as well.) If you are fundraising or on furlough during the time of a FaithCamp, you will probably be asked to attend and speak/share about your work/project. This will be another fundraising opportunity.

Other Speaking Engagements

At times JFA has other speaking opportunities (or can set them up) for missionaries when they are fundraising or on furlough. These are usually in or around our headquarters in Collegedale, TN.
